Production Planner



The successful candidate will work as part of the Scheduling and Planning Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Ensure compliance to all customer and drawing specifications
• Process and review work orders to update ENG Masters
• Review and update ENG Masters and Part Masters to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Schedule internal services by creating and issuing work orders, QC sheets and drawings
• Process, review, update and assemble work orders for production
• Issue purchase requests for supplier components
• Take corrective actions to expedite customer requirements as required
• Communicate current job status to internal stakeholders to ensure ontime customer delivery performance is met
• Attend continuous improvements meetings and complete projects, as required

To be successful as a member of our Accounting Team, you will have:
• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or minimum 5 years’ experience in product processing/planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of machine shop, fabrication and assembly operations, procedures and processes
• Knowledge of inventory control and management
• Experience reading and interpreting 2D drawings
• Experience with Visual Manufacturing ERP
• Experience with quoting/estimating an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Exceptional communication skills
• Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Quality Management System
• Understand and follow the Health and Safety Management System





Shipper/Receiver



The successful candidate will work as part of the Shipping/Receiving Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Unpack, inspect and verify incoming materials, recording shortages and following the procedures to reject damaged goods or product that do not meet specifications
• Gather, assemble and pack product to be shipped with proper identification and labelling
• Maintain accurate records, waybills and manifests for all shipped product
• Deliver or pick up parts or supplies as required, externally in the company provided vehicle
• Load and unload parts in the loading area, using a forklift or crane, as required

To be successful as a member of our Accounting Team, you will have:
• A minimum of 2 years related experience in Shipping/Receiving
• A valid driver’s licence to operate the company provided vehicle
• A valid forklift certification
• Computer literate
• Ability to work day shifts, staying late, as required
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the Fabris team
• Take initiative to problem solve or troubleshoot and provide solutions
• Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Quality Management System

CNC Machinist



The successful candidate will work as part of the Manufacturing Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Operate CNC Mills and Lathes in the production of standard and customized parts to critical tolerances
• Read blueprints and perform set up of machines according to diagram
• Follow work order instructions to customer requirements
• Validate quality of products using measurement devices
• Record dimensions and highlight deviated dimensions
• Ability to read and understand G-Code or Mazatrol programming

To be successful as a member of our Manufacturing Team, you will have:
• A minimum of 5 years related experience in a steel processing or fabrication environment
• Completion of an Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
• Experience in the operation of Mazak, Mori Seiki, Matsuura or OKK machines an asset
• Ability to read and understand G-Code or Mazatrol programming
• Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Quality Management System
• Understand and follow the Health and Safety Management System





Technical Inside Sales



The successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Provide assistance and technical information to support to our Outside Sales Team and Steel Customers
• Monitor successful projects through production and ensure timely communication is provided to the Outside Sales Team
• Complete Customer Quotes

• Utilize CAD Inventor to build a working concept to satisfy requests from our customer’s base, primarily in the steel industry
• Design and proposal will include the full costing evaluation of the project and completion of a commercial offer to be submitted to the customer by the Outside Sales Team
• Utilize knowledge base from the application of our steel equipment product line applied to the shaped rolling and manufacturing process of hot rolled metal forming
• Complete quotes using data and resources from previous installations, on site trip reports, input from the experienced technical group both inside Fabris Inc. and Outside Sales Staff and our steel manufacturing customers
• The successful project will be accepted by our customer and your proposal model will be transferred to our Engineering Team for completion of detail part drawings before manufacturing begins


To be successful as a member of our Inside Sales Team, you will have:
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• A minimum of 3 years related experience in a steel processing or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in parametric modeling and design concepts
• Autodesk Inventor a strong asset
• Experience with BOM and Visual ERP an asset
• Previous experience working in a design/manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO program
• Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Quality Management System
• Understand and follow the Health and Safety Management System





Mechanical Designer



The successful candidate will work as part of the Engineering Team and be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Create, maintain and review engineering changes
• Create and maintain quality control and manufacturing documentation
• Participate in troubleshooting design, manufacturing, sales and quality challenges
• Contribute to the Engineering department’s document maintenance and organization

To be successful as a member of our Engineering Team, you will have:
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related discipline or minimum of 3 years related experience in a steel processing or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in parametric modeling and design concepts
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, BOM and Visual ERP an asset
• Previous experience working in a design/manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO program
• Understand and follow the policies and procedures of the Quality Management System
• Understand and follow the Health and Safety Management System
